Statement of financial position
This statement shows our assets (resources we have or are owed to us), liabilities (obligations we have to others), and net assets (essentially our net worth) at a single point in time. If we’ve kept our bookkeeping accurate, total assets should always equal total liabilities and net assets.

Statement of activities
This statement shows our income (money we earned) and expenses (money we spent or liabilities we incurred) over a period of time. The net income (loss) reported here is the financial figure commonly referred to as “the bottom line”, and is one and the same as the net income (loss) reported in the equity section of the statement of financial condition above.
